There are so many different types of wicking materials out now, that its tough to figure out what works best sometimes.
So, what do you use?
What type or brand of cotton do you find best?
Do you use Rayon at all?
Anything else you use for wicking?

After I moved away from silica I used cotton wool balls from the chemist for a while then tried a few of the "specialists" vaping cottons. Cotton Bacon V1 had an odd taste to me so stopped using it I then bought a giant bag of Muji pads and have been using it ever since. I am not sure there is much difference between most of the cotton wicking materials despite what some producers tell you.

Only difference I've noticed is the bedding in time, seems with kendo / muji etc you don't get that first toot of mank!

A lot of it is probably hype mate, as people pay extra for what is advertised as the best available. Must admit I fall for that as well! I have been using Muji pads for some time now, and i like them, easy to use, and no wicking problems at all. Have to say though, that I do like the taste of a good mesh wick..am going to try and get a mesh wick into some of my Rda's.. should be able to, and it should wick well...will see i guess!!

Kendo vape cotton only.. since i tried it a year ago.. only Kendo.. it is hard to start you really have to push the liquid inside it, but once it goes, it wicks 50% better than any other cotton, and i think i tried em all..

Started with the good old cotton balls yada yada yada tried a few different stateside cottons mostly from 'Cotton Man' not too bad, even switched to rayon back when I was still using my kf 3.1 found it easier to wick it also lasted longer but was not satified with it in my rdas. Bought a couple of big bags of Muji pads and honestly besides having an endless supply have been very satisfied with consistent wicking, longevity and lack of that added muck taste most cottons give.

Well I started with silica in the 3.1 and kfl, then went onto cotton balls, rayon, etc.
Bought some muji about 2.5 years ago for about a tenner, still got about 20 left.
I tried fiber freaks, not impressed at all, haven't bothered trying anything else yet. I'll probably stick with the muji.

Still plodding through the massive 50p bag of Wilko cotton balls I got nearly 5 years ago. Tried a couple of others and could not see what all the fuss was about. It’s a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Went back to my old trusty bag of fairtrade organic cotton balls and I'm finding it a lot better. Wicks just fine for me too, but then I dont sub Ohm often.

I tried the cotton bacon and although I didn't get the funny taste like some people have experienced I still prefer the cellucotton I've got together with some organic cotton puff pads.

taff tbh I've tried them all and have not noticed much difference with them except for the synthetic ones which seemed to contract a little and could leave you with a dry burns in some atties. Shoot me for saying it but even the wifes cotton balls don't seem to be so bad and they are prob bleached. YES organic cotton in it's many forms seems to give a a nicer flavor from first use for sure and I do use KGD but it wouldn't bother me a bit to put a bit of "housecotton" into my KF for a good vape. After the first ml goes through there is not a huge difference in any of them it's probably more important to change the wick out when it has done it's course than anything else. What do you think bud.

I still use silica in my kayfuns and mesh in genies. If I'm using a dripper though I've been using cotton bacon v2. I really don't think it's any better than old fashioned cotton balls though, just more expensive so once I get through it I won't be buying more.

I got a free tin of the general, looks like cotton, will be having a go with it soon.
Best I've had was from a friend over on another forum, it was almost brown but tasted oh so good, i can't remember if it was called Carolina or something but yeah, best I've had.

First vape on some cotton bacon v2, so far seems OK, in the Recoil with a 0.36ohm dual coil at 44.4w and Bantha Milk.
First few puffs were a bit odd, settled in quite quickly. Vapour production and flavour is OK, but no real difference than muji.
Will see how long it lasts, but not seeing any benefit at the moment.

Using whatever cotton pads comes with Attys from Fasttech, when thats all gone I'll go back to the unbleached Cotton Balls I got from Wilko's (I think, it was so long ago now!). I tried some Cotton Bacon my Yoot got, but buggered if I can tell the difference!

Something seemed odd about the cotton bacon. I'm not sure if it's just me but it doesn't seem to hold much juice, and the flavour I get from muji is better imho. I've now got muji in my rda's again.

The only way I'm ever going to get through all the Muji cotton I've got is if I stop buying EVL products and let my wife use them to take her make-up off

I'm going to resurrect this thread as I'm running out of balls so I am wondering what cotton you good people are using these days?
I've never been a fan of muji but whats tickling your taste buds these days that could tickle mine before I just pick up some bacon?
