After having a major clear out and rearrange we had a book case going spare and because I could not be arsed to take it to the skip I decided to repurpose it and use the wood to make a custom charging station. I have very few tools and I am certainly no carpenter but I am pretty happy with what I created even though it is a little rough and ready by most standards. Here it is closed and this way can be used as a nice side table. Here shown with top open and two Xtar VC4 and one xbox 360 battery charger on the left and on the right there is a charging stand made from a repurposed letter rack and storage for AA and AAA batteries that I use a lot of. Mounted under the shelf where the chargers are is a six port smart USB charger and storage for remote controls. There is also a small plastic basket that keeps all the various charging cables tidy. It even has RGB lighting because why not. Finally although not strictly connected with this project I have finally added a small touch screen to control my media centre but because it sits on the unit next to the charging station I thought I'd include it here and save another post. One thing I have learned recently is that being bored can be dangerous but at least this time not expensive.

I doff my hat to you nemesis neat job. My charging routine consists mainly of "I know the charger is under that pile of shit over there, ..... I think". Organised Chaos is the post modernist theme for my work room, admittedly its low on the organised part. I would say I'm inspired to nip off and build something similar but TBH I'm a lazy git who can even be bothered to put up a new towel hook in the kitchen, "the doors have got handles" I keep telling her
