So I realised that I had not had any emails in saying there was new content from my subscribed youtube channels of late. I thought everyone was on holiday or there was an issue with the account I used for them to drop into, but no. It seems that youtube are not sending out email as they say no one is using this form of staying on top of things. I found that out by doing a search and finding lots of people complaining that they were not getting theirs either. Can anyone spot the conflict in the last two sentences? So now I have to remember to check the channels as I dont use chrome, I dont log in to youtube unless I'm replying or subscribing, and I use my phone as a phone and have zero interest in push notifications. On the plus side I have watched a hell of a lot less youtube of late, so I'm a bit more productive and not being tempted with new vape gear I wonder if and how much this is going to hurt channels both in the short and the long term?

never noticed this mate, but now you mention it, i realise that its the same here...no notifications at all... whats the point of being subscribed if you dont get told when there is a new video available?

Its not just email as I and many others are subscribed to many YouTube channels with full notification enabled and still don't get notified even if you log into YouTube, it's an ongoing thing that has become more than a bit of a joke now.
