Been only squonking for the last few months and my poor old gennys have been left sitting on my desk in the stand.
But last night I though I would give my 1st Gen Nextgen atty a shot and see if it was as good as i remembered it.
So took it apart, got the coil nicely hot and stuck it under the hot tap a few times, and a little brush with my pipe cleaning set and all the crud came off. Washed off the rest of it and was ready to go again.
Filled it with my home-brewed Cheesecake 12 Mg juice, 70/30 VG/PG and went to vaping.
Now, I use the same juice in some of my squonk attys so it should not have tasted any different really, but it does.
Its a lot cleaner, sharper taste and just more flavour, that i can only put down to the mesh wick, and of course the superb airflow that is spot on for me.
Not put it down since, and am loving it all over again.
Going to clean up my Rocket R today and fire that up again and see if that's as good as i fondly remember it.
Then there is the Kraken and Nextiny to do, and its back on the gennys for a while I reckon! Happy days!

gennies were and still are great.. I kept only one and it's in a drawer somewhere. Hasn't been coiled for a very long time. I shall return to it when i feel like torching mesh and dealing with hot spots

I actually enjoy the whole genny process mate..The only bit I don't really like is measuring out the mesh to cut, but the rest of it, rolling and torching, winding the coil etc. i like doing. Maybe i am a bit strange eh!!

I stopped measuring out my mesh a long time ago, I just now cut and hope.
But after a while you get an eye on what size your mesh should be on what atty you are rewicking.

Agreed mate, but I find in the NextGen especially, or any centre post genny really, that even an extra 1 or 2mm makes a big difference. Building Gennys now for probably 4 plus years and still like to make sure.
