The Serpent was a decent RTA but because of the gaping hole under the coil it tended to suit direct lungers. I want to pass mine on to a confirmed mtl'er so has anyone seen any kind of air restrictor /adaptor available to buy to reduce the air flow?

possum would a vape band airflow reducer not help? You can get one free from Stelthvape if you put in an order for your Kanthal HERE

I’ve tried all sorts with this tank possum and really struggle to get anything what works great. Rolled mesh works to a degree and one of the reducers from one of the Obs tanks fits but isn’t secure. Been looking for some silicone tubing to try but haven’t found one which is snug enough yet.

I am a MTL man possum and use a Serpent Mini from time (using one as I type this) and think its a great little tank. I use my usual 1.8Ω spaced 28g coil and almost close off the airflow. I have got used to a looser draw over the years from the original Kayfun, I don’t use them now as I now find them a little on the tight side . I regularly use the Prime, Savour & Serpent Mini and can get a similar draw from all of them. I know a lot of MTL vapers prefer a really tight / restricted draw but I always preferred a similar experience to my stinkys.

Just took a look at the Serpent, now I realise its a completely different beast than the Serpent Mini that I use.

Yes Cyborg it is. I found with the KF lites anything smaller than a 1.8 airhole was a little too tight so I always drilled the air hole to that size or even 2mm was fine. What I find in general is it's far more effective and productive when dealing with airflow on the likes of the Serpent is to try and alter the airflow hole diameter right under the coil rather than adjusting the outer airflow ring on the rta. Thats why I find those changeable air inserts, like you have with say the Skyline, work brilliantly to give your desired airflow and result in a good vape. The one on the Serpent definitely needs to be reduced. It's all down to what I call "the bottle neck effect".

Any luck with those kayfun inserts possum. Love the serpents as they are but reducing the chamber would enable a bit more flavour I think.

I have a KF5 pacman but don't have the inserts so have to check the dimensions first.
