Having spent the last few months only Squonking, and having issues with my Lost Vape Drone, I decided I needed to take a "Belt and Braces" approach to the impending Christmas season vis a vis Vaping. I know my Sigelli 100w+ Mods are reliable, but what about my long abandoned RTA's?? I rescued a Serpent from the dark and damp recesses of my Vape box and looked at fettling it. To my horror, I remembered why it was languishing, unloved and unvaped! I'd knackered it and it wouldn't fire after a drop onto a hard surface; not to worry, I always have back up's. Now, where did I put those spare Serpents I got as a TPD clearance sale?? Bugger me! Can I find them, nope! No worries, I must have enough bit's of a Lemo in all these spares to make at least 1 good one! Nope, 2x Lemo Glass several Lemo Drop chimneys and 4 bases, none of which fire a coil!!
An interesting, and a slightly frustrating hour later, I've bodged together an almost Lemo. I coiled it at 1.3oHm, and am running it at 16 Watts. It's pretty good TBH.
I remember why I changed to a Serpent, it's cos I switched to fairly high VG Juice, and the Lemo struggled to keep up, but I think I'm going to spend my Festive Vaping time checking out some other Tanks that I have in my Vape Box that probably didn't get used, either at all, or when I got them found them too much of a faff to Coil, or too difficult to wick properly. Goblin Mini V1 advice anybody??

Every now and then I try to prize myself off the KF lite but so far it's been a useless exercise.

keepitgoin re the goblin mini - for the wicking I just copied Grimms set up and it was quite good. TBH I can remember why I stopped using that Must have got newer toys in and its fallen off my radar. So guess what I will be playing with today Here's Grimms vid that has the wicking about 6.30 mins in.

Cheers feeson !! I'll give it a go this evening and let you know how I get on. It's time I either Vape stuff, pass it on, or scrap items. I got quite a few UD iGol single coil Drippers in a Clearance sale, as they were the first RDA I bought (affordable, and relatively forgiving to build) and still use them as Testers for new DIY juices. I did get a Bograt Topcap for the iGol, cheap in a swap, ages ago, and honestly as an RDA it's still a belter. I'm planning to Mod a couple of iGol to BF, so I should have a new, decent, Squonking Atty for New Year too!

Think I will have to have a root through my stuff, as I have quite a few attys I haven’t used for a long time. Good idea to re-visit the old stuff from time to time...must admit that I tend to only dig out the gennies these days, as mostly happy with what I vape with..

I liked the Goblin so much that I gave it away. I like single coil attys & build everything at 1.8Ω and use a variety of Serpents & Kayfuns. I have some Kanger sub tanks somewhere and did like those once they improved the wicking holes on the rebuildable deck, don't remember why I stoped using them so I will have to dig one out and give it another go.

Don't suppose you've got any suppliers for Serpents Cyborg? I wouldn't mind getting a couple of spares!

WOW!! $33+ Postage for a Serpent!! More woes! The reason I switched from Lemo RTA (which I still think are fantastic!!) to Serpents was the vulnerability of the Glass Tank, yep it's glass not Borosillicate or Pyrex. I'm a clumsy bugger and drop my Mods on a regular basis (probably why my longest lasting Mod is a Sigelli 100w+) and as I carry them in the breast pockets of my shirts it can be a fair way to fall. This destroyed my bodged together Lemo, made from bits and bob's from other Lemo's and Lemo Drop bits, over Xmas!! My 2 Serpents that don't have broken Glass will no longer make a connection to a Mod (I suspect the same type of fall that all my Vaping gear suffers from has caused a bending/warping of the 510 pin)
I fished out an Aromamiser RTA that I got in a "Bundle Buy" with some RDA's that I got on a Classified section of a Vaping Forum earlier this year. I coiled and wicked at my usual 1.3(ish) oHms using Kanthal and a small blue screwdriver id (2.5mm??) wicked using a bit of cotton I found in a random bag from the same "Bundle Buy" and cranked my Sigelli 100w+ all the way to 13watts!! It's OK. Just OK, not the "game changing super Vape, flavour chasing magic machine" that most reviewers seem to think. s'allright I suppose, but no more than that.
I also have a Digiflavor Siren V1 22mm that I got (probably in the same deal!) that I'm testing out now, and that's nowt to get over excited about either and, from what I'm reading, is prone to sudden and inexplicable flooding.
Both the Aromamiser and the Siren have glass (maybe Perspex, but I doubt it!!) Tanks and so will, invariably, suffer the same fate as my previous glass tanked RTA's. I liked the kayfun lite. It had a Stainless Steel Tank option, but has become a little restricted in the airflow department as my Vaping style has changed over the last 4 years. I'm not into huge clouds but do like to increase and decrease the airflow on my Tanks over the day, much as I enjoy going from 13watts to the heady heights of 22 watts occasionally.
Am I asking too much? A reliable, topfill single coil RTA that can hold more than 4ml (with a TPD compliant extension kit, obviously!) that I can close down as tight as a gnats chuff, yet allow me the option of restricted DL when I want it, whilst offering a robust (Stainless steel preferably) Tank option for under £50

honestly the hussar clone is a gnat diff to the prime clone in vape quality 1/8th a turn of the tank, pull the top cap off ,, fill, push on 1/8th turn juice On = toot > hussar 2 turns of the tank , unscrew the top cap,, fill , screw the top cap back on, 2 turns of the tank to open JFC = toot > prime both Stable as hell in temp mode , neither are a nightmare to wick/coil, prime Might be easier to go from its tightest to loose draw as the afc IS the adjuster,, the hussar its "set" by the air tube+ve post (with the 1.3mm + 2mm ones) more than the afc ring ,, and i found the 3mm air tube too loose ,, biggest thing i can see for you might be that the hussar comes With a full size steel tank in the box,, teh prime you would have to buy a full size (kayfun 5) steel tank as extra, which maybe a mission to find one now

Feedback please @phtumsk!! Have you had it long? Do you treat it as a "Beater"? Any wicking issues with high VG 70/30 or above. Any leaking, condensation, dribbles. Any weird foibles? Any accessories you got, or would want to have??

Any accessories you got, or would want to have?? It is a clone BTW. Ive had it around 6 months and it gets the most use every day of my regular fave clone RTAs Wicks High VG no problemo as I like my juice full fat VG all the way. Flavour is crisp and clean. No leaks but does have a condensate appear around the air flow ring but Im not sure if its the way I vape as I do tend to chuff it like an old man with a pipe. The juice control is either on or off but if youve wicked it right theres no need to be faffing about with a 1/4 turn here and a 1/4 turn there. Its the easiest tank to fill that I have. I got the micro tank (2ml) as I like the smaller tanks as an accessory along with what I would say was the 'must have' of the finned top cap so you can add your own 510 drip tip. Would I buy an original off the back of the clone, most probably if a preloved 1 came along at the right price. But as usual if it wasnt any better than the clone it would be back on the market. Did I mention I love it.

If you buy the short 2ml tank, do you also need to buy a shorter chimney to go with it? and has anyone tried the full size steam tuners copy tank with this?

yes if you get the tiny tank you need the tiny chimney but you buy the tiny tank Set , top cap tank/ chimney all together nope on the ST full size "tower tank" as you cant then use your own 510 dt as you need to use the ST dtiptip which is also the "top cap" and the ST tiny tank, with tiny chimney also is ST dt/topcap only you can use a normal 510 driptip With the top cap that comes with the clone hussar, its 510 size ole,,

Im actually looking forward to see how the long tank is filled. Im presuming you have to take the tank/chimney off and fill it through the juice control holes. If you take the drip tip off its going to leave the tank section free to wobble about.

Wobbling is what I do best! But as I struggle to fill a Tank that doesn't move without getting e-juice everywhere then I'd best stick to the basics. I do like that "Finned" Topcap though so that'll probably go on my wish list!

with the "stock" hussar tanks, the inner top cap stays firmly in place while refilling, wobble all you want it wont dislodge the tank barrel it also helps when you drop the tank, your basically hitting steel topcap which is backed up by steel chimney, which screws to the base,, so the tank section itself Doesnt *usually get much direct impact when it lands driptip end first, helps a little as the tank is under compression for "side landings" too , as said i have a steel dt in mine thats got dents in the rim, a few,, and Still on the same plastic tank ,, also i dont "do" tank cracking/melting/frosting juices

The Coppervape Hussar Clone, with a few extra bits is looking favourite andyd for me. I like it when feedback for an item lets me know it'll keep working and working even if I'm not the gentlest in the world with my kit. I DO have stuff I keep on a shelf, for safekeeping or it's a bit delicate for out and about, but as I Vape the majority of the time out and about, I want ruggedness and reliability over pure form (though I think this Hussar is a nice looking bit of kit!)

im odd if i buy it i use it,, the only things i Wouldnt take out would be the very few things that couldnt be replaced, (RSM hybrid drippers,, Titanide themis/asteria mods) gen kayfuns bounce as well as clone ones (tested that often) for your *4ml or more *SS tank as an option *resilience to donks/drops *pain free filling *not a pain in the ears to wick and sub £50,, hussar fits most, given the deck is an adaptation/similar to the kayfun And you can choose 3mm/2mm/1.3mm air tube to suit your toot,, (small cost for the 1.3mm airtube) it Shouldnt be too far from the mark aimed for
